Manhattan flats│Charlie Stone Shoes

Get ready for the most stylish return to the 20s with Charlie Stone Shoes! Owner and all round shoe genius Sam has created the most delightful new style to ring in the new decade – the Manhattan flats. We brought them with us to Brussels and found some perfect spots for their close up! Read on to find out more.

Taking inspiration from possibly the most iconic 20s book, the Great Gatsby, Sam has crafted a mini-collection of three styles where one is not complete without the others. Each colourway of the Manhattan style features part of the quote “…among the whisperings & the champagne & the stars.” Available in Midnight (black), Champagne (gold), and Solitaire (silver), each pair is covered in the finest coarse glitter from Korea. Let me tell you, this glitter is amazing! You might expect it to flake off but it absolutely doesn’t, and oh does it sparkle! I was almost blinded by these beauties when I pulled them out of the box, they are so wonderfully dazzling. They feature some art deco-style detailing both at the pointed toe and the heel, and fasten with a quick release buckle that prevents wear on the strap. I can also attest to the comfort of these beauties – I walked nearly 9km round Brussels in them and there was nary a blister in sight by the end of the day! I’m wearing my usual size 37 and that’s the perfect fit for me.

A huge thank you to Sam for letting me try a part of this new and exciting collection! These pretties have just been released and are selling fast, but do remember to check with your local retailers as they will have a small selection as well. And thank you to @cmjsnz for taking these shots in The Park of Brussels, where we found the most matchy-matchy leaves!
