The most spook-tacular time of year is nearly upon us and team Erstwilder are fully in the Halloween spirit! They’ve just released ‘Out of the Shadows‘, a 20 piece collection of vintage-inspired treats, plus a bunch of their essential earrings to match. And no trick, it’s all frightfully fabulous! Read on to find out my picks for the season.

Patch the Pumpkin Pup brooch

This little cutie has found the perfect pumpkin! The Patch the Pumpkin Pup brooch is the most adorable combination of earnest pupper and happy jack o’lantern. Both dog and pumpkin are made of gorgeously textured resins, so each piece is unique and special. Fun fact: jack o’lanterns have roots in Ireland, and pumpkins were originally substituted with turnips!

A Moon with a View brooch

Feel something watching you? It’s probably just an owl! The feathery fellow in the A Moon with a View brooch looks friendly enough, we hope. He features all the autumnal colours – red, yellow, orange, grey, with a hint of green thrown in – across his strikingly detailed features. Something I learnt about owls recently – their legs are actually quite long and hidden by feathers, making them appear a much more solid bird than they actually are!

Guiding Light brooch

Would you walk through the dark on Halloween night? I’d much rather carry a trusty lantern, light the Guiding Light brooch. Made with textured and bubble resins, and showcasing a suitably creepy spiderweb in one corner, this piece is bound to help you shine this spooky season. The colour combo used in this collection and as a Halloween theme has long been a tradition, bringing the strength of orange to get through the long winter together with black to celebrate the dead.

On Haunted Hill brooch

This old house is just lovely, totally not haunted at all! On Haunted Hill features a mixture of marbled, textured resins, with a big full moon in the background and bats in the sky. Did you know that there are more haunted houses in the US than Target stores? It is always worth going to visit one though as most of them are run by a charity or donate up to all of their proceeds to one.
