You might remember last month that I blogged about some amazing pieces from Scribble & Pockets, a German-based family business who make the most adorable hand-stamped printed fabrics and whip them up into vintage-inspired clothing! Today I’m bringing you even more S&P goodness, and I’ve even managed to group together the prints that feature cats! Find out more about these kitty-themed items after the jump.
Being a bit of a crazy cat lady (and ‘bit’ is an understatement), I am all over anything kitty-cat related. The Burgundy Cats print is covered in funny little kitties with the sweetest expressions, along with flowers and swirls. The hand-drawn print is done in white on a rich burgundy background of 100% cotton sateen, and what a great colour it is for this time of year! The exposed metal back zipper, peplum hem, and cotton lining are all the sweet details that make this a high quality top. Tuck it into a skirt or pair it with shorts or trousers to let the peplum flow free!
Cats and Bikes
In case you thought Nani’s prints couldn’t get any more delightful, here’s another! Cats and Bikes is such a sweet print, featuring – as expected – a quirky print drawn featuring both cats and bikes, as well as trees, butterflies, leaves, and swirls. The colour palette is super unique, with the print rendered in spicy pink, sahara green (close to a mustardy yellow), and white, on a warm brown background. The dress itself is a sleeveless number with a full gathered skirt for extra volume and S&P’s signature pockets. I chose to pair this dress with hot pink accessories to really bring out the pink in the print as we shot this dress in the New Zealand spring, but pair it with a rich brown cardi and boots and you’ve got a chic autumnal look!
Big thanks once again to Nani and the Scribble and Pockets team for these wonderful pieces, and thank you to @cmjsnz for taking these photos at Corban Estate. If you’re not already, be sure to follow Scribble and Pockets on Instagram and Facebook for all news and design updates.
