Shortly before our big move to London, the lovely Sam from Charlie Stone Shoes contacted me to try a couple of pairs from her latest release. My first pick is the divine Valentina flat in red – read on to find out more!
Of course I was over the moon when Sam got in touch, not just because her shoes are always so beautiful and well made, but thinking ahead to all of the walking we’d be doing once we were over here (especially as we wouldn’t have a car) my feet were already breathing a sigh of relief at the thought of having such comfortable flats to wander around in. And comfy they sure are! While these photos were taken before we left New Zealand, I can safely say that in the last couple of weeks these shoes have been thoroughly road tested and my feedback is glowing. It definitely feels like I’m walking on air!
To give you some more detail about the Valentina flats, they’re a delightful cherry red shade which gives a great pop of colour to your outfit. Who doesn’t feel happier wandering around in red shoes? They have some gorgeous cut-out detailing at the front, and toes are left fully covered. Between the cushioned insole and the soft leather, these are seriously the most comfortable shoes I own. And the 20mm heel elevation inside the shoe definitely makes you feel like you’re wearing something far more dressy than your average flat shoe!
Sizing at Charlie Stone is in European sizes, and sizing advice is given on the product page for each shoe. For example, there’s a note on the Valentina page that these run slightly large, recommending to go to the lower whole size if you’re between sizes. I’m wearing a size 37, which equates to my usual US size of 6.5, and they’re a perfect fit. If you’re unsure make sure to check the size chart, or contact the Charlie Stone team for fit advice.
Charlie Stone are based in Singapore but will ship worldwide, and in many areas it’s free! The Valentina flats retail for $169AUD which is a great price for such a high quality shoe.
