Gingham is basically a wardrobe staple for me – it’s fun, it’s cute, and it’s so easy to accessorise. So I was super excited to see that Karina Dresses had designed one of their latest signature prints in blue & white gingham, giving me the perfect excuse to return to Oz for this post!
The Megan dress has to be my favourite Karina Dresses style – the puffed sleeves, crossover bust and swishy skirt make all my 1940s dreams come true and give such a flattering silhouette. And of course I couldn’t get my hands on some blue and white gingham without saying hello yellow brick road and giving some pin-up Dorothy vibes with my red glitter heels and matching brooch!
I’m wearing my usual Karina Dresses size XS in this dress, and it’s an excellent fit. For reference my measurements are 32″-24″ against the Karina Dresses size chart measurements of 31-33″-24-26″, so I have come to expect this size to be spot on. This is the first time I’ve belted a Karina Dresses style, and while my waist doesn’t necessarily need cinching I did like the effect and how it added more contrast against the print. The full size range really is designed to suit every body, covering US sizes 0-24, and the wonderful microfibre fabric has stretch to ensure the perfect fit and so you feel most comfortable.
You can get your own Megan dress in blue & white gingham directly from the Karina Dresses website for $108USD. Shipping is available internationally for very reasonable prices, and you can shop with peace of mind knowing that all Karina Dresses styles are made right in the USA.
