One of the many things I love about Voodoo Vixen is that they frequently have a mixture of summer and winter styles on their website, so no matter where in the world you live you’ll find something perfect for your current season! So it’s been lovely (and warm!) getting to style their red Dita dress for the blog today – find out more below!
I often have trouble finding glamourous styles for cooler temperatures, but now I have to look no further than the Dita dress! It wholeheartedly embodies the elegance and grace of its namesake, with chic design details such as a high-fastening neck with keyhole cut-out and tiny decorative buttons. The reasonably thick viscose fabric and slightly flared skirt, combined with the gathered and slightly puffed shoulders, all combine to give a sophisticated silhouette. This dress is great for going from day to night, very comfortable, and actually keeps you warm – surely the perfect winter dress! The Dita dress is definitely a flattering design; I felt amazing in it and it’s sure to be a style I keep coming back to throughout the cold weather!
I am wearing my usual Voodoo Vixen size S in the Dita dress, which is the smallest size available. As I would usually go for an XS in other brands I usually expect Voodoo Vixen’s styles to be slightly too big for me, as for reference my measurements are 32″-24″ while their size chart measures the size S at 34″-27″. However, the Dita dress is actually the best fit I’ve had so far, thanks to the thicker fabric. The waist is slightly loose, however the matching belt (with grommets!) easily cinches my waist and the extra fabric is not noticeable. The fabric is stretchy and so if you are between sizes you could go up or down a size depending on the fit that you wanted.
The Dita dress is available to purchase via the Voodoo Vixen website in red or burgundy, with more stock on the way soon as the Northern Hemisphere gets closer to winter. It retails for £52/$92NZD, with free shipping if you’re in the UK or up to £8.50 to ship worldwide.
