Can you believe that Valentine’s Day is only a month away? 2019 is already flying by faster than I expected! Though I’m not big on celebrating V-Day per se, I love any excuse to dress to theme so I’m already planning my outfits for Valentine’s week. That means getting right down to accessories, which is why I’m thrilled for the new Love Token collection from Teacup Girl! This is a range packed with the sweetest brooches around that’s being released today – 12pm AEDT to be exact. I’ve chosen some adorable ladybugs which have been brought back by popular demand from their first collection; read all about them and the Teacup Girl brand after the jump!

Teacup Girl launched late in 2018, and is the brainchild of Australian artist Bonita Vear. Originally from Australia, Bonita recently packed up her life and family to move to Thailand, where Teacup Girl is based. She started off as an avid brooch collector and vintage wearer, and as her collection grew she decided to branch out into creating her own designs. Making wearable art with a touch of whimsy is now Bonita’s passion, and after the roaring success of her first collection it’s clear this amazing lady is going to go far!

Love Tokens is the second collection released by Teacup Girl, and it’s filled with all the treats you’d expect from this delightful brand! From new designs including the lovebirds (a pair of pink and blue birds carrying letters decorated with hearts), to recoloured favourites like the forget-me-nots (now available in pink!), this is a range that’s overflowing with love. All of Bonita’s pieces are of the highest quality, and with such darling details and exceptional crafts(wo)manship you can see that so much hard work has gone into them. The packaging is also beautifully done, with each brooch arriving in its own luxurious purple gift box. I especially appreciated my ladybugs being able to clip into the box, which is such a practical idea for shipping and travelling!

Ladybugs are so loveable, and Bonita has designed some super cute ones for Teacup Girl! These delightful little critters can be purchased facing either left or right, or get both for the perfect cardigan clips. Each bug measures 3.5cm x 2.8cm, and although they are small they are so eye-catching. Made from resplendent and shiny red and black acrylic with a glittery body and feet, they’ll go with so many things and are especially handy if you favour a lot of red and black in your winter colour palette like me!
