Karina Dresses are known for their charming signature prints, but did you know they make many of their classic dresses in solid colours too? For this post I’ve styled their Trudy dress in jade, part of the recently released Sunny Afternoon collection, and it’s giving me all the Roman goddess vibes! Read all about it after the jump.
With beautiful draping to create a gorgeous silhouette, the Trudy dress is such an elegant and flattering design! This is only my second time trying it, but from the sweetheart neckline and 3/4 sleeves to the ultimate swishy skirt, the Trudy has won my heart. The microfibre material is super easy to both wear and wash, as it breathes so well and doesn’t need ironing. And of course, the jade colour is stunning! It’s a shade I rarely see and I especially love it against my red hair and paired with gold accessories.
I always go for a size XS with Karina Dresses, and this is the perfect fit in the Trudy style! I was a bit worried about the neckline gaping on me (as I’m not blessed in the bust area!) but I was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t feel the need to check if I was covered all the time, I think because the firmness of the fabric held that sweetheart neckline in place. I have used a belt for extra cinching as the Trudy style doesn’t have a waist tie, but due to the waist panel the dress gives plenty of shape without a belt being necessary.
The Trudy dress is currently available on the Karina Dresses website in most sizes in jade (as pictured), black with white pin dots, and solid black. It retails for $108USD, but if it’s your first order you can get 15% by registering when you enter the website. International shipping is available, and free if you’re based in the US and spend over $150USD.
