Maiocchi is a Brisbane-based brand creating fabulous vintage-inspired frocks, born out of designer Deanne Mayocchi’s frustration with being unable to find the perfect dress. They focus on fun prints, classic silhouettes, and making everyone who puts on a Maiocchi dress look good! Dee has been so kind to send me the Cherry Belle dress in Cherry, a gorgeous showstopper from their California Roll winter collection. Find out more about it below!

Let me start off by saying I am so impressed with the quality of this dress! All Maiocchi clothing is designed and made in Australia, and there’s clearly been a lot of love put into the design and construction of it. The bodice (with the sweetest sweetheart neckline) is fully lined, and the skirt is pleated front and back (but not the sides) to give the most flattering silhouette. Made from stretchy cotton, the Cherry Belle dress can easily mould to your curves and it’s super comfy. And that print is just stunning! It features classic cherries in pink and green on a bright red background, a print exclusive to Maiocchi.

Isn’t it the best when you can keep going back to a brand and ordering your same size knowing that it will always fit? That’s definitely one of the great things about Maiocchi! Not only do they have a standard size chart to keep sizing consistent, they also recently relaunched their Hello Beautiful where amazing women of all shapes and sizes model Maiocchi designs to show how good they look on every body! I’m wearing my usual AU size, a 6, and I can safely attest that it’s a great fit. I also love that the length hits me a couple of inches below the knee, my favourite!

The Cherry Belle dress can be purchased online via the Maiocchi website, or if you live in Queensland you can click and collect at one of their physical stores. This dress retails for $299AUD, and is also available in black. Shipping is $10 for Australian orders (or free if you spend over $300AUD), $15 for NZ ladies, and $40 for all other locations.
