It’s the simplest dresses with cute details that are often a go-to in any wardrobe. The Belinda swing dress from Stop Staring is just that kind of closet staple that I can see myself reaching for time and time again!
If you’re a New Girl fan you might have spied Zooey Deschanel sporting the Belinda dress on the show! This is definitely a style that fits in with character Jess’s quirky and vintage-inspired wardrobe. The Stop Staring team designed it especially for her, but lucky for us they’ve made a full run of the dress to purchase.
With a huge bow front and centre, this dress definitely had me at hello! The tan of the bow is carried around the edges of the neckline and sleeves, while the rest of the dress is a deep navy blue. The V-neckline and fitted bodice are so flattering, while the skirt is full and falls to just below the knee. I’ve already nicknamed the Belinda dress my brunch dress as it’s the perfect thing to throw on for a weekend morning outing to look effortlessly chic!
As always, the fit of this dress is spot on. I am wearing my usual size XS, and the full size range runs from XS to 3X. I love that Stop Staring dresses fit so well, hugging in all the right places without being too tight. The Belinda dress is made out of their signature millennium fabric which also means it will need almost no ironing and that you’ll be super comfortable while wearing it – fulfilling even more requirements as the ideal go-to dress!
All sizes in the Belinda dress are currently available through the Stop Staring website, retailing for $170USD/$230NZD. Shipping is available worldwide, and free if you live within the US. For now the Belinda is only available in navy, but I’m crossing my fingers for different colourways as I need more of this dress in my life! A yellow and cream combo would be a great start…
