Today I am showing off another piece from the newly released Karina Dresses Spring 2017 collection! I’ve tried a new style with the Trudy dress, and I picked a classic colourway of navy with white micro dots as this is a staple of mine.

I find the navy & white polka dot combo such a versatile print. As I hardly ever wear black, navy is an essential colour in my wardrobe; it can go with so many colours, and is so easily dressed up or down depending on the occasion. In addition to being such a fab colour, the Trudy style features ruched crossover bust detailing with a super flattering sweetheart neckline. The skirt is full, ready for swishing and twirling, and falls to just below the knee on my 5’4″ frame.

Like all Karina Dresses, the Trudy is made from their signature microfibre material which menas no ironing is required! This is the kind of dress that is great for a day in the office or to throw on for an evening out. I have definitely fallen in love with the Trudy style so I’m hoping to try it in more prints soon!

I always go for a size XS at Karina Dresses, and with the Trudy I made no exception. It is perhaps a little big in the bust, though this frequently happens as I am not blessed in that area. For reference, the size chart for the XS shows 31-33″ in the bust and 24-26″ in the waist, and my measurements are roughly 32″-24″. The crossover style at the front dips a bit lower than what I would usually wear, but I think by putting a stitch in then I can easily avoid the risk of the top gaping on me. The waist isn’t tight but it sits well and definitely curves in at the waist. If you’re unsure you can check the Karina Dresses Best Fit Guide which gives an idea of which styles are best for each body type.
