Charlie Stone Shoes’s mantra is “the style of vintage heels in the comfort of flat shoes,” and they sure do deliver on that! Read on to find out more about their ultimate summer sandal, the Marisa flats.

Charlie Stone Shoes is the brainchild of Samantha Szetu, started 3 years ago in Sydney when she was struggling to find cute, sturdy, and comfortable flats that she could wear all day. Sam took matters into her own hands and Charlie Stone was born. And if you’re wondering where the name comes from, it was overheard by Sam from her husband saying ‘charleston’ in his heavy Italian accent!

As soon as I put on the Marisa flats I knew I was in shoe heaven – they are like walking on a cloud! They are made with soft quality leather, and that paired with the supportive and slighty raised insole and low ankle strap means they are so blissfully comfortable. The detailing is so lovely, with sweet cutouts and stitching around the edges, and really brings an elegance to these shoes which I find isn’t often the case with flats. Being white they go with so many of my summer dresses, so I know they’ll get good use this season. I am also very much looking forward to having them with me when I’m travelling later this year, so I’ll be walking around in comfort and in style!

Each Charlie Stone product description lets you know whether the fit of the shoes runs small, true to size, or large. I noted that the Marisa flats ran large and it was recommended to go down a size in them, so I swapped out my usual size 37 (equivalent to US6.5 or NZ6) for a size 36. They are the absolute perfect fit, great for my narrow feet and the length is spot on.  If you are unsure do check the size guide or email Sam for assitance to make sure you get the sizing right first time.

The Marisa flats are available to buy on the Charlie Stone Shoes website, and they retail for $160AUD. Personally I think this is a very reasonable price for such well-made and well-designed shoes that are so comfy and super cute, and taken care of well they will last you for a very long time.
