I had been itching to try the fabulous Lola Von Rose vintage inspired hangbags since I first saw them on Instagram last year – they are too cute! I bought the red and lilac styles from the sample rack and they were so kind to send me the white and pink purses to feature today as well.

Despite my near-hoarding abilities of collecting clothing and shoes, I haven’t managed to amass many handbags over the years. But that doesn’t mean my collection hasn’t been crying out for them! These Lola Von Rose purses are simple and elegant, and instantly make a statement as soon as you walk in a room. They are inspired by the vintage box purses of the mid-20th century, more durable than lucite and without the high price point. I have already had a number of envious looks and compliments when I’ve been out and about with them over the last couple of weeks!

It’s always hard to tell the sizing of things online, so fortunately Lola Von Rose provides measurements of their purses in the product listings. At 9.25″ in length by 4.75″ in width by 3.25″ height (not including the handle), these handbags can hold a surprising amount! I can fit my enormous iPhone 6 S Plus easily (as shown above), plus wallet, lipstick, keys, compact, and my glasses – basically all the essentials for your weekend or evening out!

Lola Von Rose’s purses are made of 100% shiny acrylic, with a stylish horseshoe shaped handle that can fold down when not in use. They fasten with a silver (or gold for the red purse) clasp at the front, and I recommend putting your purse down on a flat surface (eg a counter) before opening it to get out your phone or wallet simply due to the placement of the handle.

These handbags retail for $64USD each and can be purchased through the Lola Von Rose website. They are available in the white, pink, red and lilac colourways that I have here, as well as black. If you fancy a bargain you can also check the sample sale section where purses may have slight scratches or glue marks – I got my red and lilac purses from here and I have found no issues with them. Shipping is international and super fast, though bear in mind that because the handbags are fragile and take up a bit of room then you can expect to pay about what you would to ship a pair of shoes (ie a bit more than a dress) as the boxes are around the same size. It’s totally worth it though, and for those of you on a budget the cost would even out if you are lucky enough to snag your purse during one of the Lola Von Rose sales!
