Jasmine skirt & Elle cardigan │ Voodoo Vixen

Voodoo Vixen have been continually wowing us all with their AW16 collection, with just the right mix of glamour, style and sophistication seen in each of their designs. I couldn’t go past the beautiful Jasmine skirt which I’ve paired with the matching Elle cardigan in today’s post.

The perfect party skirt, the Jasmine features a floral print over organza. It’s pleated at the waist, creating a full A-line shape, and ties to the side with a ribbon bow. The emerald green of the flowers over the darker green organza creates lovely layered effect. The Jasmine skirt is available in sizes S to XL; I would usually be a size XS but I’m wearing the S as that was the smallest available. The waist is therefore a little loose however that is easily fixed with a belt. The length falls a couple of inches below my knees, and I can easily fit a two layer petticoat underneath – though it is already quite poofy on its own! The Jasmine is bound to be a winner this festive season; I know I’m looking forward to Christmas-ing it in the days to come!

The Elle cardigan matches the Jasmine skirt wonderfully, bringing out the darker green of the underskirt. It is a long-sleeved bolero style which fastens at the front with a press stud covered by an adorable little bow. The cropped length is very flattering and great for showing off skirts or dresses to the full. The Elle is also available in sizes S to XL, and again I am wearing the size S. I found this to be a great fit all round; the one exception was the sleeve length which I shortened a little by folding them over, but this is something I do with all my long-sleeved cardis so definitely not an issue for me.
