I first discovered Review Australia on my trip to Melbourne earlier this year. As soon as I clapped my eyes on their beautifully designed store I knew I had to go in and have a look. I tried on half the store and came away with a huge bag full of goodies – clearly I was hooked! One of my favourite dresses from their new season range is the Berry Kiss dress which I couldn’t go past featuring on the blog today.
I first spotted the Berry Kiss dress a couple of months ago and it immediately reminded me of summer. The pattern is a blanket of flowers in bold shades of pink and purple on a white background. The colour palette makes it a bright and fun choice for daytime but the fabric (being a luxurious heavier weight cotton) makes it a fantastic evening option as well. The dress itself is fully lined, comes with a matching grosgrain belt, and features an elegant sweetheart neckline (so flattering!) and – swoon – pockets!
Being sleeveless the Berry Kiss dress is a good style for the quickly soaring temperatures here in the Southern Hemisphere. It would be a particularly stylish choice for the summer horse racing events and the festive party season, or to make a statement at the office. The silhouette is definitely vintage inspired due to the fuller pleated A-line skirt (yes, you can fit a petticoat underneath!) and a longer length of 42″, which falls a few inches below the knee.
Review sizing ranges from AU6 – 16, and these correspond to the same NZ and UK sizes. I am wearing a 6 which is my usual size at Review. Per their size chart, a 6 should fit an 81cm/32″ bust and 62cm/24″ waist, which correspond to my measurements exactly and so it’s the perfect fit. I find their sizing to be very standard between styles (I have a number of their dresses, cardigans and skirts now and I’m a 6 in everything), but if you get stuck they have a very friendly customer service team both in store and online.
The Berry Kiss dress retails for $279NZD. This reflects the quality of their garments though I understand this would be a higher price point for some, so I recommend signing up to Review’s mailing list for special offers; they frequently have offers such as 30% off or $100 off $250 or more. I’m delighted that there’s a Review store here in Auckland (in addition to their Australian stores) which I visit with alarming frequency, and their staff are the loveliest! You can also order online and international shipping is very quick and reasonable. They have a great loyalty programme too!
