Review: BAIT Footwear Lorraine heels from Royal Vintage Shoes

How exciting is it that Royal Vintage Shoes stocks BAIT Footwear?! I first saw the Lorraine heels on their website months ago but held off purchasing them as they felt more summery and I didn’t want them to sit sadly in their box all the New Zealand winter! Once it started to get warm here I was lucky enough that Royal Vintage Shoes still had pairs available so I purchased immediately!

I love that BAIT make such brightly coloured footwear, and that so many of their styles have a Mary Jane or T-bar strap of some kind so that my narrow feet don’t slide out of them! The Lorraine heels don’t disappoint on either account, being a bright cherry red that I adore and wear frequently, and keeping my feet secure with an anke strap. I was still worried as to whether I would walk out of them as my interactions with strappier heels usually involve the back strap frequently sliding down my heel, but this hasn’t happened at all with this pair. I’m not a huge fan of my toes so I appreciate that they don’t show too much toe cleavage, and I love how they match so perfectly with many of my vintage summer dresses!

BAIT Footwear sizing ranges from US6-11 and runs in half sizes, though do note that there are only sizes 7.5 – 9 left on the Royal Vintage website. My usual BAIT size is a US6.5; this wasn’t available when I ordered but I knew I had to have these heels for summer so I sized up to US7 and I honestly haven’t found much of a difference. They are super comfy, especially thanks to the nice squishy insole and vegan leather. At 4″ they are higher than what I would normally wear, but the 1/2″ platform at the front makes them feel a little lower and I can wear them at work all day with no risk of aching feet or blisters.

The Lorraine heels retail for $75USD through the Royal Vintage Shoes, though keep an eye on their Instagram for Black Friday deals over this coming weekend! Royal Vintage Shoes ship all over the world for very reasonable rates, and I can confirm their shipping is rather speedy.
