I am so excited to bring a most unique and fabulous collaboration to the blog today! Take Revival Retro, an award-winning London boutique offering beautiful vintage-inspired clothing and accessories. Add Becky Bettesworth, a British artist inspired by classic travel posters of the 1930s. Revival’s owner Rowena had been dreaming of a vintage style tourist skirt, and when she discovered Becky’s artwork she knew it would be the perfect fit. Together they’ve created the limited edition Revival Retro x Becky Bettesworth collection, designed and made from start to finish in the UK by these two talented women just in time for the British summer. Read more about the collection after the jump!
This skirt is one of three in a collaboration between Revival Retro and Becky Bettesworth, artfully depicting scenes of the British South West (Anglesey, Torquay, and Bristol) in fabric form. I chose Bristol as my favourite, as like a magpie to something shiny I was immediately attracted its custard yellow hue! I also really love the fun print; hot air balloons are clearly synonymous with Bristol, with the city even holding an international balloon fiesta every August. Balloons in shades of blue, yellow, pink, and purple are scattered above the Clifton Suspension Bridge rendered in purple tones. This print is so gorgeous and has such depth to it, its hard to look away from! Sizing ranges from UK6 – UK18; I’m wearing a size UK6, best for a 24.5″ waist, and it fits perfectly. Made from fully lined 100% viscose which is so lovely and light for summer, it’s also machine washable.
