What a whirlwind 2017 has been! This last week has allowed me to come up for air and reflect on the year that’s past, remembering all the things I’m grateful for. Firstly, I’d like to thank YOU, my readers and viewers, for all your love and support this year, and for inspiring me as well!
Outfits:
I love that feeling of adding a very special piece to my wardrobe, and I am lucky this year to have nabbed several of them! I have also been more ruthless on my wardrobe than ever, getting rid of many things that unfortunately aren’t getting the wear they deserve – big thanks to ladies who’ve bought from me over on @shopmissheroholliday! I’ve really been focusing on quality rather than quantity this year (although I have still bought a lot!), and saving up for my most desired pieces. This has lead to some of the most amazing vintage coming into my life in 2017, especially floral border prints which are my favourite, and here are some very close to my heart:
And of course I’ve continued my favourite tradition of wearing yellow on Fridays! This is always a great way to brighten up the week and makes the weekend come around a little bit faster. Here are my Sunshine Friday outfits of 2017:
Blog posts:
Craig and I have been shooting and creating blog posts like crazy this year! I could not be more grateful to him for regularly giving up his time to take photos of me, dealing with my stress and the ever-changing weather with patience, and for taking what’s in my head and making it happen on camera. We have worked with some utterly amazing brands this year, including a lot of small businesses who I am constantly in awe of and love to watch flourish and grow. A huge thank you to Karina Dresses, Erstwilder, Stop Staring, Gatsbylady, Vivien of Holloway, Voodoo Vixen, Betty and Veronica, The Oblong Box Shop, Dolly & Dotty, Lindy Bop, Wax Poetic Clothing, Hearts & Found, Vintage Addiction, Vanessa Kelly Clothing, Review, and all the other brands I’ve worked with this year for letting us create some magic with your amazing products! These are just a few of my favourite blog images we’ve taken during 2017:

London trip:
For 3 weeks in October Craig and I jetted off to London! It was Craig’s first trip and my second, and we had such a blast checking out all the history, shows, vintage, and Harry Potter stuff. You can read all about our trip in more detail here and here.
What else?
I’m sure you know by now, but a highlight of course was getting engaged in London! We had an impromtu mini-engagement shoot when we got back with Ginelle from Ginny C Photography which I think really sums us up as a couple (tee hee).
I got to walk in the fashion shows for Linda McCarthy Studio and Dariel Dearlove at this year’s Very Vintage Day Out, and met lots of wonderful ladies in the process!
I also changed jobs, moved house, and got to perform in two great shows (Love’s Labour’s Lost and The 39 Steps), so it’s definitely been an eventful year!
What’s on the agenda for 2018?
We of course have our wedding to look forward to, on the 31st of March, and then our honeymoon to Japan! Lots more blog content is already in the pipeline, and I’m hoping to start filming more tutorials for YouTube very soon. As for the second half of 2018 – watch this space!
What has been your favourite thing to look back on in 2017? And what are you looking forward to most in the year to come? Let me know in the comments below!
