I love finishing off a hairstyle with an accessory that matches my outfit, and I have a huge love for bows, so of course I love Cute Girly Things! Owner Jen recently sent me some bows to try – find out more and see how I’ve styled them below!
As with a lot of great businesses, Cute Girly Things was born out of necessity; both of Jen’s daughters were born with a lot of hair, so she was on the hunt for the cutest of bows to clip their hair back with. She soon found Ribbies Clippies, became the exclusive distributor for them in New Zealand, and now stocks other gorgeous girly things too. Ribbies Clippies are ribbon-covered hair clips which have a non-slip grip to keep them sliding out of hair, which is perfect for kiddies as well as a super stylish accessory for adults.
I’ve chosen clips in colours I wear most often – the hot pink eyelet bow, the small turquoise loop bow, and the yellow chevron bow. The yellow and turquoise bows are about the same size at 2.25″ across, and the hot pink bow is larger at 3.5″ wide by 3″ tall. The sizes are great for adding a pop of colour to your hair without being distracting. as you can see I’ve matched the colours to my necklaces to keep my accessory colours consistent! The clips are super sturdy and built to last, and as soon as I had them in my hair I knew they weren’t going anywhere. All bows are available via the Cute Girly Things website, with prices ranging from $5-$15NZD for a single bow, and many also available in packs like this chevron bow set. Shipping is free within New Zealand if you spend over $30, $10 to Australia, and you can contact Jen for other international shipping options.
A huge thank you to Jen from Cute Girly Things for letting me try some of her clips – make sure you’re following her on Facebook and Instagram to see what’s new! And thank you to @cmjsnz for taking my picture!
Let me know in the comments which cute and girly bow you would choose to finish off your outfit!
