I have become thoroughly besotted with Hearts and Found, and it seems a lot of the pinup community has too! It’s hard to go past their great quality and amazing fabrics, and certainly hard to choose just one style! I ordered a couple of versions of the Grace dress towards the end of last year and I absolutely adore them, so of course I had to bring one to the blog to show you all!
The Grace dress is a classic 1950s style sundress, perfect for hot days where you just want to throw something on but still look stylish. It features a gathered shelf bust which is excellent for someone like me who is lacking in the bosom department. It then has a nipped in waist and a full gathered skirt which gives the classic vintage silhouette. Like all of the Hearts and Found styles, the Grace dress is made from 100% cotton fabric and lined in a complimentary cotton of the same weight.
I chose to get the Grace dress made up in the ‘Russian White’ floral print fabric, which is a cotton poplin with a glorious border print of brightly coloured flowers. The blues, pinks and yellows of the print give you lots of summery accessorising options, and the border print gives major vintage vibes. Unfortunately the white colourway of this fabric is no longer available but you can still find the ‘Russian Red’ version here. I also have the Grace dress in yellow gingham which is equally as adorable and fun!
As my measurements correspond directly to the XS on the size chart (32″-24″) I have not yet gone for a custom size, especially as the sizing has been so consistent for each style, but custom sizing is definitely available. The spaghetti straps are fully adjustable so you’re covered whether you are long or short in the torso. You can also choose your preferred skirt length out of 6 different options ranging from 20″ to 30″ – I went for the Knee Length (Tall) option which at 26″ falls a couple of inches below my knees on my 5’4″ frame.
All Hearts and Found purchases can be made through their Etsy store, where you can choose your custom measurements and choice of fabric. The Grace dress, like the majority of Hearts and Found styles, retails for a very budget-friendly figure of $82USD or $118NZD, plus a small shipping fee for international orders. There is no extra charge for customisation as each style is made to order, and owner Marjorie will be in touch really promptly about how long until your order is shipped (usually around 2- 5 business days).
