It is such a delight to see all the gorgeous Spring/Summer designs coming in from the Northern Hemisphere, especially as we are still having warm weather down here in New Zealand! One of the most sunny styles I have seen is the Isabelle dress in yellow & white polka dots from Zoe Vine, which I have the pleasure of featuring on the blog today.
London-based Zoe Vine reworks true vintage designs for women of today, creating beautiful clothing with the mission to offer the best in terms of quality, cut, and fabrics. This is immediately obvious even from the product photos online, and even more so in person. The style of the Isabelle dress is definitely similar to vintage dresses I have, which means that you get that true vintage look while still being able to put it in the washing machine! It features short sleeves and a round neckline, and is fitted at the top before flaring out to a the skirt. There is heavy pleating at the waist which means the skirt is really full, and I could fit two petticoats under there for this shoot. For ease of getting in and out of the Isabelle dress it has both functioning buttons down the front and a zipper at the side. It also has belt loops and a matching belt (with grommets!) for an ultra-coordinated look.
The Isabelle dress is 100% golden yellow cotton for those perfect summer dress feels, and fully lined through the torso. I am wearing a size UK8, which is the smallest Zoe Vine size available. Per the product description this dress does run large, and though I’m usually a size UK6 I just couldn’t resist giving it a go. I would say that the actual measurements are closer to a UK12, and so both the bust and waist were quite large on me. I was able to use the belt to cinch the waist in which made the looser fit not too noticeable, though I could also easily put a couple of darts in to help with that. The dress is a great length, falling about mid-calf on my 5’4″ frame. Even though this dress screams summer I’m not one to shy away from wearing bright colours in winter, and so I can easily see myself pairing it with a cardigan and coat in the cooler months.
You can purchase the Isabelle dress direct from the Zoe Vine website for £85/$150NZD. This season you can also get the Isabelle dress in green & white polka dots or this pale blue style with red & white lighthouses and sailboats. This style was a hit last summer and is sure to be again, with some sizes already sold out! Postage is a flat rate of £4 within the UK, £6 for the rest of Europe, and £9 anywhere else in the world.

That dress is positively darling! I’m so jealous of that hat, too, it’s a wonderful find! I’m dying to go thrifting to add some more spring/summer accessories to my wardrobe.
