I am always amazed by the prints and design details used by UK-based brand Love Ur Look Clothing, and so I am super excited to be sharing the Button Back Door Dress with you today.

The Button Back Door Dress is 100% light and breathable cotton and fully lined, made (as all their clothing is) from ethically-sourced fabric in their factories in the UK and India that operate under ethical standards. There are so many stand-out features on this dress; firstly the pattern is fantastic, being made up of various different doors, windows and numbers. Colour is splashed throughout, with hues of red, green, yellow and purple all featuring on a black and white background. It is so fun and unique, and reminds me of paintings by Mondrian!

Amazing design feature alert: the back of this dress! The Button Back Door Dress, as its name suggests, does indeed have three buttons that do up at the back, with the top of the dress being able to button in as well (as you can see above). This means that you can essentially adjust the length of the torso, depending on which button you use, which is a bonus for a short-waisted gal like me! There is also a zip at the side, and with this and the top of the dress being detachable I had no issues getting it over my hair. The skirt is gathered at the waist and sits in a flattering A-line shape.

Love Ur Look designs cover sizes XS to XXL1 or UK sizes 6 – 20, which corresponds to the equal size in both Australia and New Zealand. Ronke sent me a size XS (covering UK sizes 6-8) which is my usual Love Ur Look size. I am really pleased with the fit, especially as I am able to adjust the length of the top half to better fit my smaller bust and short torso. For reference my measurements are about 32″-24″ – my waist is a little smaller than the size chart measurement of the XS, however I have cinched it with a belt and any excess fabric really isn’t noticeable. The full length is 44″ which is on the longer side, but again I have no issue with this as I prefer more length on my skirts. This dress hits me about mid-calf so I can wear my full 26″ length petticoats underneath with no risk of them peeking out.
